Our students successfully participated in the art competition held at Sukhna Lake on 28.05.26 for Environment Day,to be celebrated on 5th June.
डी.ए.वी. स्थापना दिवस:
दिनांक 30 मई 2026, डी.ए.वी. मॉडल स्कूल, सेक्टर-15 ए, चण्डीगढ़ में माननीया प्राचार्या श्रीमती अनुजा शर्मा जी के कुशल निर्देशन एवं प्रेरणादायी नेतृत्व में आयोजित 10 दिवसीय बाल चेतना शिविर का समापन समारोह डी.ए.वी. स्थापना दिवस के साथ अत्यंत हर्षोल्लास एवं गरिमामय वातावरण में सम्पन्न हुआ।
कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ प्रातःकाल आचार्य रमेश शास्त्री जी द्वारा सभी शिविरार्थियों, अध्यापकों एवं आगन्तुक अतिथियों के साथ वैदिक संध्या एवं मंत्रोच्चारण द्वारा किया गया। वैदिक वातावरण में सम्पन्न इस सत्र ने उपस्थित जनसमूह को आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा एवं संस्कारमय प्रेरणा प्रदान की।
तत्पश्चात् आचार्य डॉ. जगदीश जी ने मानव जीवन को उत्कृष्ट एवं अनुशासित बनाने वाले षोडश संस्कारों (16 संस्कारों) के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए उनके व्यावहारिक पक्षों की संक्षिप्त एवं प्रेरणादायक व्याख्या की। इस अवसर पर विशेष अतिथि के रूप में पधारे आदरणीय श्री अवनी गुप्ता जी ने अपने उद्बोधन में विद्यार्थियों को नैतिक मूल्यों, सदाचार एवं सकारात्मक चिंतन को जीवन में अपनाने हेतु प्रेरित किया।
शिविर के समापन अवसर पर सभी शिविरार्थियों के लिए वैदिक संस्कृति परीक्षा का आयोजन किया गया। परीक्षा में 25 बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न सम्मिलित थे, जो मुख्यतः आर्य समाज, महर्षि दयानन्द सरस्वती के सिद्धान्तों, वैदिक संस्कृति एवं नैतिक जीवन मूल्यों पर आधारित थे। विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक परीक्षा में भाग लिया तथा शिविर के दौरान अर्जित ज्ञान का परिचय दिया।
कार्यक्रम की मुख्य अतिथि श्रीमती कमला भाटिवाल जी ने अपने प्रेरक उद्बोधन में डी.ए.वी. संस्थानों द्वारा प्रदान की जा रही शिक्षा, संस्कार एवं चरित्र निर्माण की परम्परा की सराहना करते हुए विद्यार्थियों को इन आदर्शों को अपने जीवन में आत्मसात् करने का संदेश दिया।
अपने अध्यक्षीय उद्बोधन में माननीया प्राचार्या श्रीमती अनुजा शर्मा जी ने डी.ए.वी. संस्थान के महान उद्देश्यों, वैदिक शिक्षा दर्शन तथा महर्षि दयानन्द सरस्वती एवं महात्मा हंसराज के आदर्शों से सभी शिविरार्थियों एवं उपस्थित अतिथियों को परिचित कराया। उन्होंने दस दिवसीय शिविर की विभिन्न गतिविधियों की सराहना करते हुए सभी अतिथियों, प्रशिक्षकों, अभिभावकों एवं शिविरार्थियों का हार्दिक धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया।

आर्य समाज सेक्टर-16-डी एवं डी.ए.वी. मॉडल स्कूल के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में, प्राचार्या श्रीमती अनुजा शर्मा जी के निर्देशन एवं कुशल नेतृत्व में 10 दिवसीय बाल चेतना शिविर – 2026 का आयोजन किया गया दिया।
ज्ञान, संस्कार, अनुशासन, आत्मविश्वास, आत्मरक्षा एवं व्यक्तित्व विकास के विविध आयामों से युक्त यह 10 दिवसीय बाल चेतना शिविर विद्यार्थियों के सर्वांगीण विकास की दिशा में अत्यन्त सफल, प्रेरणादायी एवं स्मरणीय सिद्ध हुआ। अब क्रमशः प्रतिदिन के अनुसार संक्षिप्त विवरण एवं फोटो संलग्न व अवलोकनीय है ।
प्रथम दिवस : 21 मई, 2026
बाल चेतना शिविर का शुभारम्भ वैदिक वातावरण में हुआ। सुश्री रोशनी जी ने आत्मरक्षा प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया। आचार्य रमेश शास्त्री जी ने ईश्वर-स्तुति, प्रार्थना एवं उपासना के वैदिक मन्त्रों का अभ्यास करवाया। आचार्य डॉ. जगदीश शास्त्री जी ने भारतीय संस्कृति एवं पूर्वजों के सांस्कृतिक परिचय पर प्रकाश डाला तथा शिविराध्यक्ष श्री रवि जी ने "मनुर्भव" विषय पर प्रेरणादायी उद्बोधन दिया।
द्वितीय दिवस : 22 मई, 2026
शिविर का औपचारिक उद्घाटन माननीय न्यायमूर्ति श्री प्रीतम पाल जी द्वारा दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के साथ सम्पन्न हुआ। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को उत्तम संस्कार, सदाचार एवं दुर्व्यसनों से दूर रहने की प्रेरणा दी। प्राचार्या श्रीमती अनुजा शर्मा जी ने अतिथियों का स्वागत एवं सम्मान किया।
तृतीय दिवस : 23 मई, 2026
सुश्री शिवानी जी ने आत्मरक्षा प्रशिक्षण दिया। आचार्य रमेश शास्त्री जी ने वैदिक मन्त्रों का अभ्यास करवाया। आचार्य डॉ. जगदीश शास्त्री जी ने धर्म के दस लक्षणों का महत्व बताया। पूज्य स्वामी शतानन्द सरस्वती जी ने ईश्वर एवं मनुष्य के परस्पर सम्बन्धों पर प्रेरक व्याख्यान दिया।
चतुर्थ दिवस : 24 मई, 2026
इस दिवस विद्यार्थियों को वैदिक संस्कृति, नैतिक मूल्यों, संध्या-उपासना एवं व्यक्तित्व विकास से सम्बन्धित विविध गतिविधियों के माध्यम से संस्कारमय प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया गया। आचार्य रमेश शास्त्री एवं डॉ जगदीश शास्त्री जी ने इस दिवस पर शिविरार्थियों को वैदिक मंत्र एवं वैदिक वक्तव्य से शिविरार्थियों को लाभान्वित किया करवाया ।
पंचम दिवस : 25 मई, 2026
सुश्री शिवानी जी ने व्यायाम एवं आत्मरक्षा प्रशिक्षण करवाया। आचार्य रमेश शास्त्री जी ने पंचयज्ञ एवं ब्रह्मयज्ञ के मन्त्रों का अभ्यास कराया। आचार्य डॉ. जगदीश शास्त्री जी ने धर्म के प्रथम पाँच लक्षणों का विवेचन किया। श्रीमती शोभा सोबती जी ने महर्षि दयानन्द सरस्वती एवं डी.ए.वी. संस्थाओं के योगदान पर प्रकाश डाला।
षष्ठ दिवस : 26 मई, 2026
आत्मरक्षा प्रशिक्षण के पश्चात् आचार्य रमेश शास्त्री जी ने अघमर्षण मन्त्रों का अभ्यास करवाया। आचार्य डॉ. जगदीश शास्त्री जी ने धर्म के दस लक्षणों का अर्थ समझाया। मुख्य अतिथि प्रो. डॉ. वीरेन्द्र अलङ्कार जी ने कर्तव्यपालन को ही वास्तविक धर्म बताते हुए प्रेरणादायी उद्बोधन दिया।
सप्तम दिवस : 27 मई, 2026
सुश्री रोशनी जी द्वारा आत्मरक्षा प्रशिक्षण दिया गया। शिविरार्थियों ने वैदिक मन्त्रों का सामूहिक गायन प्रस्तुत किया। अरविन्द मेहता मेमोरियल ट्रस्ट के श्री सतीश भास्कर जी एवं श्री संजीव गुप्ता जी ने विद्यार्थियों को सामाजिक एवं शैक्षिक गतिविधियों की जानकारी दी। प्राचार्या श्रीमती अनुजा शर्मा जी ने विद्यार्थियों की प्रस्तुति की सराहना की।
अष्टम दिवस : 28 मई, 2026
शिविरार्थियों ने वैदिक मन्त्रों, नैतिक शिक्षाओं, संध्या-उपासना तथा व्यक्तित्व विकास सम्बन्धी गतिविधियों में सक्रिय सहभागिता की। सुश्री रोशनी जी द्वारा आत्मरक्षा प्रशिक्षण दिया गया। तत्पश्चात् आचार्य रमेश शास्त्री एवं डॉ जगदीश शास्त्री जी ने इस दिवस पर शिविरार्थियों को वैदिक मंत्र एवं वैदिक वक्तव्य से शिविरार्थियों को लाभान्वित किया करवाया ।
नवम दिवस : 29 मई, 2026
सुश्री शिवानी जी ने आत्मरक्षा एवं व्यायाम का प्रशिक्षण दिया। आचार्य रमेश शास्त्री जी ने मनसा-परिक्रमा एवं उपस्थान मन्त्रों का अभ्यास करवाया। आचार्य डॉ. जगदीश शास्त्री जी ने तैंतीस देवता एवं ईश्वर के स्वरूप पर व्याख्यान दिया। मुख्य अतिथि श्री योगराज चौधरी जी ने वैदिक संस्कार एवं अनुशासित जीवन पर प्रेरक उद्बोधन दिया।
दशम दिवस : 30 मई, 2026 (समापन समारोह)
बाल चेतना शिविर का समापन समारोह उत्साहपूर्ण वातावरण में सम्पन्न हुआ। 25 अंकों की वैदिक संस्कृति प्रश्नोत्तरी परीक्षा आयोजित की गई। मुख्य अतिथि श्रीमती कमला भाटिवाल जी ने विद्यार्थियों को वैदिक आदर्शों को जीवन में अपनाने की प्रेरणा दी। आर्य युवा समाज द्वारा सभी शिविरार्थियों को प्रमाण-पत्र प्रदान किए गए। प्राचार्या श्रीमती अनुजा शर्मा जी ने सभी अतिथियों एवं सहयोगियों का धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया।
शिविर के प्रत्येक दिवस का समापन शान्तिपाठ के साथ किया गया तथा सभी शिविरार्थियों को जलपान स्वरूप विविध व्यञ्जन वितरित किए गए।

Nikhaar Summer Camp 2026 – Day 6: A Grand Finale of Learning and Celebration
The final day of Nikhaar Summer Camp 2026 marked the culmination of a week filled with creativity, skill development and joyful learning. Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities that showcased their growth, talents and achievements throughout the camp.
The Pre-Primary wing celebrated an Adventure Wrap-Up Day, where children revisited the exciting experiences of the camp through fun-filled activities and interactive sessions, creating lasting memories.
Primary students displayed their creativity and confidence through student-designed quizzes and riddles. The engaging activity encouraged critical thinking, teamwork and effective communication while allowing students to take ownership of the learning process.
Under Kaushal Bodh, Class VI students explored the concept of a School Museum, learning about the preservation of culture and heritage while developing presentation and communication skills. Class VII students completed their assignment worksheets and confidently presented their project files before their peers, demonstrating their understanding and organizational abilities and class VIII students concluded their Water Management Project with inspection and presentation sessions, highlighting innovative ideas and practical solutions for sustainable water conservation.
In Kaushal Vikas, Class IX students wrapped up their learning journey through project submissions and assignments, reflecting on the skills acquired during the camp. Class X students focused on product making and branding, gaining valuable insights into entrepreneurship, marketing and creative product development.
The senior students of Classes XI and XII enjoyed a fun-filled conclusion, participating in interactive activities that celebrated teamwork, friendship and the successful completion of the camp.
The closing day was a fitting finale to an enriching and memorable summer camp. Through a blend of experiential learning, creativity, vocational skills and collaborative activities, Nikhaar Summer Camp 2026 successfully nurtured confidence, innovation and holistic development among all participants.

Nikhaar - Day 5
Day 5 of Nikhaar Summer Camp 2026 at DAV Model School was filled with engaging, skill-based and creative learning experiences across all classes.
The Pre-Primary students focused on Language Development through short stories and educational movies that enhanced their listening and comprehension skills. Under Aesthetic Development, they enthusiastically participated in clay modelling, newspaper outline activities and flower vase decoration, showcasing their imagination and artistic expression.
Primary students explored the theme “Create and Apply”, using mathematical tools and concepts to solve real-life problems. The activity encouraged logical reasoning, critical thinking, and the practical application of mathematical knowledge.
Under Kaushal Bodh, Class VI students were introduced to the exciting world of Animation and Games, gaining an understanding of digital creativity and logical thinking. Class VII students engaged in file maintenance and documentation work, learning the importance of systematic record-keeping and organization and students of class VIII reached the final stage of their Water Management Project, compiling their findings and preparing presentations based on sustainable water conservation practices.
In Kaushal Vikas, Class IX students received a detailed briefing on plumbing and the processes involved, helping them understand the significance of this essential vocational skill. Class X students worked on budget planning, developing financial literacy and decision-making skills through practical exercises.
The senior students of Classes XI and XII demonstrated remarkable leadership by successfully organizing a Literary Fest and an Art Fest. These events provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their literary talents, artistic creativity and organizational abilities while fostering collaboration and cultural appreciation.
The day concluded on a highly productive note, reflecting the camp’s commitment to nurturing creativity, practical skills, critical thinking, and holistic development among students.

Nikhaar Day 4
Day 4 of Nikhaar Summer Camp 2026 witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all classes as they engaged in a variety of enriching activities focused on values, creativity, life skills and cultural awareness.
The day began with activities for young learners centered on value development. Children participated in a Sewa activity involving the distribution of items, helping them understand the importance of sharing, kindness and empathy. Outdoor physical games added excitement and encouraged teamwork and fitness.
Students in the primary classes showcased their creativity and practical skills through salad-making and table manners activities, promoting healthy eating habits and social etiquette. Math puzzles stimulated logical thinking, while cursive writing exercises helped improve handwriting and presentation skills.
Under Kaushal Bodh, Class VI students explored their creative abilities through model-making activities. Class VII engaged in a practical session on Tie and Dye, using organic and natural colours to create vibrant designs while learning eco-friendly artistic techniques. Class VIII continued working on their Water Management Project, further strengthening their understanding of water conservation and sustainable practices.
As part of Kaushal Vikas, Class IX received an informative briefing on carpentry and the processes involved in woodworking, gaining exposure to an important vocational skill whereas students of class X continued with product-making activities and worked on finalizing their creations, fostering innovation, teamwork and entrepreneurial thinking.
Apart from this, students of Classes XI and XII delivered engaging presentations on various cultures and traditions, promoting cultural awareness, appreciation of diversity and effective communication skills.
The day concluded on a highly positive note, providing students with valuable opportunities for holistic learning, skill development and personal growth.

Nikhaar – Day 3
DAV Model School conducted a variety of engaging and educational activities on Day 3 of the Nikhaar Ekaadash Summer Camp to promote creativity, innovation, skill development, and experiential learning among students of different classes.
Students of the Foundation Club from the Pre-Primary wing participated in literary and numeracy activities designed to strengthen their basic language and mathematical skills. They also enjoyed cognitive learning through fun-filled activities such as puzzles and interactive games, which enhanced their observation, thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Students of the Readers and Etiquette Club from Classes I and II enthusiastically participated in yoga sessions and reading comprehension activities. These activities helped improve concentration, communication skills, vocabulary and reading abilities while also promoting discipline and mindfulness.
Students of Classes III to V explored logical thinking and the basics of artificial intelligence through interactive activities and discussions. The sessions encouraged curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills among young learners.
Students of the Club ‘Kaushal Bodh’ from Class VI worked on preparing a Biodiversity Register to understand local biodiversity and environmental awareness. The activity encouraged students to observe and appreciate the natural environment around them and inspired responsible environmental practices.
The young learners of Class VII participated in a practical activity on tie and dye using organic and natural colours. The activity helped them explore eco-friendly artistic techniques while enhancing their creativity and hands-on learning skills.
Students of Class VIII continued practical work on Hydroponics and learned innovative methods of growing plants without soil. The activity deepened their understanding of sustainable agriculture and modern farming techniques.
Students of Class IX attended an expert talk on pottery. The informative session introduced them to traditional pottery-making techniques and emphasized the importance of vocational and skill-based learning.
Members of Prayaas Club from Class X participated in product making and branding activities. The session encouraged entrepreneurial thinking, teamwork, creativity, and marketing skills through practical learning experiences.
Members of Delphic Club from Class XI attended a special Kathak workshop conducted by expert Kathak artists. The workshop introduced students to the beauty and grace of classical dance and enriched their understanding of Indian culture and performing arts.
The third day of the Nikhaar Ekaadash Summer Camp proved to be enriching and enjoyable for all students. The diverse activities provided opportunities for holistic development and encouraged students to learn creatively through participation and exploration.
NIKHAAR- DAY 2
DAV Model School organized a variety of engaging and skill-based activities on the second day of the Nikhaar Summer Camp to promote creativity, communication, teamwork and experiential learning among students.
Pre-primary and primary students enjoyed “Best Out of Waste,” dance and tongue twister activities, enhancing their creativity, confidence, coordination and speaking skills. Students of Class VI participated in “Cooking Without Fire,” where they learned about nutrition, hygiene and teamwork whereas students of Class VII explored the art of Tie and Dye, gaining knowledge of fabric decoration techniques and artistic expression.
In addition to this, students of Class VIII participated in an informative group discussion on “Project Water Audit and Management.” The discussion helped students understand the importance of water conservation and sustainable management practices. They also learned about Hydroponics, an innovative method of growing plants without soil, which sparked curiosity about modern agricultural techniques
For Class IX students, an introductory session on “Kaushal Vikas” was conducted to create awareness about skill development and vocational education. The session encouraged students to identify and enhance their practical and professional skills for future growth. Class X students attended “Prayas,” an informative session introducing agricultural practices.
Students of Classes XI and XII participated in “Learning Through Shark Tank,” which enhanced their entrepreneurial thinking, marketing knowledge, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
The day proved to be enriching and enjoyable, providing valuable learning experiences and holistic development opportunities for students of all classes.
Nikhaar Day 1
The first day of Nikhaar Summer Camp 2026 commenced with great enthusiasm and active participation. A variety of engaging activities were organized to promote physical fitness, creativity, environmental awareness and experiential learning.
Students of pre primary and primary wing participated in fun games, races, aerobics, dance sessions, language enrichment activities and a hygiene storytelling session. They also took part in watering plants, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and care for nature.
Under Kaushal Bodh, students of Class VI engaged in activities related to the School Kitchen Garden, while students of Class VII attended an orientation session.
Apart from this, students of Class VIII explored the concepts of Hydroponics and Water Management whereas students of Class IX were introduced to various agricultural practices and students of Class X participated in a brainstorming session designed to enhance creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
An orientation on the Delphic Mission and Vision was conducted for students of Classes XI and XII, inspiring them to nurture leadership skills, creativity, and a spirit of continuous learning.
The day proved to be both enriching and enjoyable, setting a positive and inspiring tone for the exciting learning experiences ahead.

Nikhaar– Day 1
DAV Model School successfully organized a dynamic and immersive Mobile Science Exhibition and Planetarium on May 18, 2026, within the school campus as part of the Nikhaar Summer Camp. The event was designed for students from Classes III to XII with the aim of nurturing curiosity, fostering scientific temper and bringing textbook concepts to life through interactive exhibits and a mobile planetarium dome. Around 400 students enthusiastically participated in the event, making it a memorable hands-on learning experience.The Science City Bus featured engaging exhibits on human anatomy, genetics, renewable energy, waste management, communicable diseases and the digestive and respiratory systems. Through various scientific models and activities, students were able to understand complex concepts in a simple, enjoyable and interactive manner.One of the major attractions of the event was the portable planetarium, where students embarked on a fascinating journey through space. Immersive visual presentations introduced them to planets, stars, galaxies and the mysteries of the universe, inspiring a deeper interest in astronomy and space science.Several informative and fun-filled activities were also conducted during the exhibition. Students checked their Body Mass Index (BMI), underwent colour blindness tests and learned about healthy eating habits through interactive demonstrations. These activities helped spread awareness about health, fitness and healthy lifestyle choices.The exhibition proved to be an enriching and unforgettable experience for all participants. Students displayed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the event. By successfully blending education with entertainment, the programme encouraged scientific thinking, creativity and exploration among young learners.

Inter-House Activities 12-05-2026
DAV Model School organized Inter-House Activities with enthusiastic participation from all four houses. The activities included Slogan Chanting Competition and Pledge Creation, conducted to spread social awareness, promote creativity and enhance confidence and communication skills among students.The Slogan Chanting Competition was organized on the theme “No Tobacco School, Healthy Future.” Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm, presenting meaningful and energetic slogans highlighting the harmful effects of tobacco and the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. Students also participated in Pledge Creation, where they showcased their creativity and confidence by presenting impactful pledges promoting a tobacco-free and healthy society.Under the school’s “Sahbhagita” Programme, parents were invited as judges, making the activities more interactive, motivating and encouraging for the participants.In the Slogan Chanting Competition for Classes I and II, Bhagat Singh House impressed everyone with their energetic performance and secured first position , followed by Sukhdev House, while Laxmi Bai House proudly stood third, showcasing commendable enthusiasm and participation.In the Slogan Chanting Competition for Classes III–VIII, Sukhdev House secured the first position, Bhagat Singh House stood second and Rajguru House secured the third position.In the Pledge Creation for classes IX-XII, Sukhdev House won the first position, Rajguru House secured the second position and Lakshmi Bai House stood third.The activities concluded successfully and proved to be informative, inspiring and enjoyable for all participants and attendees.

Mother’s Day Celebrations

Mother’s Day was celebrated with great warmth and enthusiasm at DAV Model School to honour and appreciate the unconditional love, care and dedication of mothers.The celebration began with the warm welcome of mothers by applying tilak, which created a respectful and festive atmosphere. To make the occasion more special, a surprise activity titled “Tiny Mirrors, Big Smiles” was arranged, where mothers were given tiny mirrors that brought happiness and smiles to their faces.The celebration also included a creative activity session called “Creative Expressions with Mothers,” where mothers learned and participated in making beautiful photo frames and coasters. The activity encouraged creativity, bonding and joyful participation.Overall, the celebration was a great success. The event created a joyful atmosphere, strengthened relationships and gave mothers a memorable experience filled with love, appreciation and creativity.

Inter-House Basketball Match

An Inter-House Basketball Match for boys and girls categories was organized at DAV Model School with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The event witnessed active participation from students representing different houses, showcasing their skills, teamwork and competitive spirit.
The match began with great excitement as players demonstrated excellent coordination, agility and discipline on the court. Each house team played with determination and displayed commendable effort throughout the game.
The event focused not only on competition but also on promoting values such as teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy competition among students. The players exhibited respect for rules and fair play, making the match a memorable experience for all.

A discussion and orientation session under the regular feature of Saibhagita was held on May 7, 2026 in the school campus. The session was attended by the parents of Class VIII students.
The orientation highlighted the transition from traditional rote learning to competency-based education. Parents were informed that the focus is now on developing conceptual clarity, critical thinking and the practical application of knowledge rather than memorization
Another important highlight of the session was Kaushal Bodh, which has been introduced as a compulsory skill-based subject. The aim is to enhance practical knowledge, creativity, communication and life skills among students.

The programme commenced with volunteers expressing their thoughts on the significance of Labour Day through inspiring speeches, heartfelt poetry recitations and a motivational song that beautifully emphasized the dignity of labour.A special highlight of the celebration was the warm welcome extended to the supporting staff, who were invited onto the stage as guests of honour. Visit to the Rose Garden
Our little learners had a joyful and refreshing visit to the Rose Garden. The children were excited to explore the beautiful garden filled with colorful roses of different varieties and fragrances.The visit was not only fun but also educational, as it helped the children learn about nature, flowers, and the environment in a real-life setting.
All the fallen leaves were collected by the children to clean our planet Earth . They enjoyed circle time, explored nature during a walk, and had fun running around in the fresh, pleasant weather.It was truly a memorable and enriching experience for our young learners

DAV Model School organized an orientation session for the parents of Class X students to acquaint parents with the latest changes in the academic structure and evaluation system. Parents were introduced to holistic assessment, which evaluates students academic performance along with skills, behavior and overall development. Another important aspect discussed was the typology of questions in the new examination pattern. Parents were introduced to different formats such as case-based questions, assertion and reasoning, source-based questions and application-oriented problems.
The orientation also provided information about skill subjects such as Information Technology, Marketing and Sales and Artificial Intelligence was shared to highlight career-oriented learning opportunities.
Parents were urged to regularly monitor their child’s studies, ensure timely completion of work and stay actively involved, while maintaining communication with teachers and participating in school activities.

The Ripples- 10 , an inter school Fest is a regular feature that was launched in 2016 on the threshold of 50 Golden Celebration’s of DAV Model School, Sector 15 ,Chandigarh manifesting the connectivity of the school horizontally with the school’s of Tricity , thereby aiming to attain long lasting effect on holistic development of the students . As an earnest endeavour , the Inter School Fest - Ripples-10 aims to chisel life skills, communication skills , creative and critical potentialities of young students who are the future legacy makers.This year ,The Ripples -10 was organised to commemorate the theme of, “ Healthy mind, Healthy body - Addiction Free India ". 600 students from 36 schools.of Tricity and adjoining cities participated with great fervour.There were 8 events in total- poster making , Screen Master, Scientific Temperament , Poetry recitation, , Star chef, Quiz ,Fancy dress and Book Wizard,.The Principal of the school, Mrs Anuja Sharma congratulated the participants and motivated them to excel for holistic development. To mark the occasion of World Earth Day on 22 April 2026, the Eco Club of DAV Model School, in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Youth Innovative Society, organized a Cyclothon to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students.Students from Classes VII to XII actively participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The Cyclothon commenced at 7:00 AM from Chandigarh Bird Park. D.A.V. Model School organised an orientation session to welcome the newly selected Student Council for the academic session 2026–27. The event aimed to introduce council members to their roles, responsibilities and duties, while also emphasizing the importance of leadership and accountability within the school community. Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the Student Council. The address focussed on how council members are expected to uphold discipline, promote cooperation and serve as role models for their peers. She also emphasised on the responsibilities associated with different positions and encouraged students to carry out their duties with sincerity and dedication.A total of 100 students were selected for the council through a rigorous and inclusive selection process. The selection was carried out under three categories: self-nomination, proposed nomination and nominations recommended by educators. This ensured that deserving and capable students from diverse backgrounds were given the opportunity to take on leadership roles.During the session, the structure of the Student Council was explained in detail, including the four main categories within which responsibilities are distributed. Educational Excursion to Panjab University-Indian Army exhibition

On April 9, 2026, a quiz was held at D.A.V. Model School for the 2nd edition of Kushagra: An Inter-School Quiz, organized by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Chandigarh Campus.The session was conducted by renowned quizmaster Mr. Arindam Bhattacharya (Alumnus, NMIMS Mumbai) along with his team from Cradle Solutions. On 6 April 2026, a menstrual hygiene workshop was conducted at D.A.V. Model School for classes VI, VII and VIII.
