21 Kundiya Maha Yajna
A blissful 21 Kundiya Mahayajna was organised in the Portals of DAV Model School, Sector-15A, Chandigarh to mark the celebrations of 162nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj .The sacred occasion was conducted under the able guidance of President, DAV CMC Padma Shri Dr Punam Suri , Chairman of the School and the aegis of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, New Delhi.
Under the proficient leadership of Principal Mrs Anuja Sharma, the portals of the school resounded with melodious chanting of Vedic mantras by devoted students, who conducted the Yajna in a highly impactful and spiritually uplifting manner. Among the students who actively participated as Vedic chanters were Kavya Mahajan, Anshika, Alaina, Drishti, Dwisha (Class VI), Lakshya (Class VII-A), and Abhya (Class IX).
The Chief Guest Principal Ramesh Chandra Jeevan , Vice Chairman of the School blessed all participants and spoke about the life of Mahatma Hansraj Ji, sharing inspiring anecdotes. He emphasized that Mahatma Hansraj Ji was a great educationist and a dedicated personality, and that the growth of the DAV institutions today is the result of his dedication, sacrifice, and commitment.Prof. Dr. Virendra Alankar inspired everyone with his blessings and words.At the main havan kund, Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma, Principal Ramesh Chandra Jeevan, Prof. Dr. Virendra Alankar, and Mrs. Jyoti Mahajan were seated as yajmans (ritual hosts).At the remaining 20 havan kunds, students from Classes III to XII, teachers, and the entire school community participated by offering oblations and pledging to imbibe the ideals of Mahatma Hansraj Ji in their lives. On this sacred occasion, the entire school family also prayed for the successful and prosperous commencement of the new academic session 2026–27, seeking divine blessings for knowledge, values, progress, and success.After the yajna, Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma extended heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, students, parents, and the entire school community, and expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed for the successful accomplishment of the Yajna.The event concluded successfully with the distribution of prasad, Shanti Path, and the religious Vedic chants.
