 National Girl Child Day     

“Save girl child for better future “With this aim, NSS wing of DAV Model School commemorated National Girl child Day to sensitize about gender equality. Principal, Mrs Anuja Sharma, apprised the students about the importance of gender equality and motivated the students to respect and value girls as they play a pivotal role in society.

 A plethora of activities – poems, articles, songs and speeches were conducted by NSS volunteers and badges with the adage “proud to be a girl” were given to the students and staff members.  The event ended with oath ceremony and singing of the National Anthem. Turban tying of girl students was also done by the principal exhibiting the respect and empowerment of women in the social set-up.
