From 25^th to 31^st December the NSS department of DAV Model School, Sector-15A Chandigarh held NSS camp under the theme ‘swatch bharat’. The camp focused on overall development of every student. The week was full of activities and lectures. The camp started with the presence of Mr. Bikram Rana, state liaison officer who enlightened the students with his words of wisdom. The principal of the school Mrs. Anuja Sharma’s words also inspired the students to work for the welfare of the people. Various lectures on moral values, balance diet, personality development and leadership by delegates were a part of it . The volunteers went for a survey to Khuda Ali Sher where the interacted with the village inhabitants and discussed their problems. During the evenings the students practiced yoga, fine arts, music, drama and played games under experts. The school campus and the village (khuda Ali Sher) was cleaned. The villagers were motivated for a healthy life and clean environment   Mr. Karun Kashmiri and Mrs Nirupa also came to the school for a lecture on management and marketing and healthy diet, captivating the students with his words. Rally was held keeping the ”Swatch Bharat Abhiyan” in mind in the adopted village. The last day ended with interactive session among the students where they discussed the outcomes of a week long time cultural program was held in which the students were given certificates and the best five members were awarded. Programme officers Mrs. Jaishi, Mrs. Rashmi and Mr. Rajneesh blessed the volunteers with a healthy bright future
