Co Curricular Activities 2023  

Graduation Day
Graduation Ceremony was held for Tiny Tots of DAV Model School, Sector-15 A, Chandigarh marking their promotion from pre-school to primary school in the Tagore Theatre. The atmosphere was jubilant and charged with excitement, where little ones of class- K.G. clad in their graduation robes and caps received Proficiency Awards. The event CONCORD , Pace e Armania: Peace and Harmony showcased the essence of G20. The students exhibited various competencìes learnt in the academic session resulting in their holistic development . The Honourable Chief Guest, Mrs Shipra Bansal , Chairperson CCPCR ,Principal Sh RC Jeewan, Vice Chairman of the school, Principal Smt Madhu Bahl , Manager of the School ,Principal,Sh BC Josan ,Principal Mrs Jaskiran Harika, Cluster Head,Principal of Tricity and galaxy of intellectuals were mesmerised by the wonderful dance and musical performance of the tiny tots.

The chief guest congratulated the staff and students for their whole hearted endeavours. The Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma blessed the Tiny Tots to excel and shine like rising stars .

        SHOBHA YATRA
In continuation with celebrations of 200th birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand under the aegis of Kendriya Arya Sabha (Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali Zone) Shobha Yatra was organised in which the staff and students of DAV Model School, Sector 15-A, Chandigarh participated with lot of zeal and vigour. Principal Anuja Sharma felt elated to see the enthusiastic and religious fervour of all the participants of Shobha Yatra.
The students of Classes 6 and 7 presented a spectacular view based on the theme of MANURBHAV- Be Human ,that is the philosophy of life as advocated by SWAMI DAYANAND JI  in his book, Satyarath Prakash.
The tableaux showcased various aspects of being human honing physical , mental and spiritual  revolution and growth with amalgamation of religious rituals and vedas of yagya as per Arya Samaj Tradition.
The children exhibited the pious sanctity of Yagya, empowerment of women in the society bringing in serenity, peace and contentment for all living organisms. The yatra echoed with the chants of vibrant vedic mantras. Children attired as Swami Dayanand Ji , highlighted the importance of Arya Samaj principles.
 
 
BASANT PANCHAMI

“Basant Panchami marks the onset of the spring season and is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, wisdom, and art. “
As we worship the embodiment of wisdom, may the mind be enlightened with clarity and  creativity. 
 
Basant Panchami was celebrated with a lot of gaiety and fervour in DAV Model School, Sector-15, Chandigarh. A special morning assembly was conducted with a  plethora of activities like articles, speeches and poetry highlighting the importance of worship of Goddess Saraswati, an epitome of knowledge and wisdom. Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma congratulated all on this occasion and blessed the students to be bestowed with infinite storehouse of knowledge as an incarnation of Goddess Saraswati..
The staff members enthusiastically participated in songs and prayers commemorating the auspicious day . Yellow tilak, yellow flowers and yellow coloured dishes added  to the joyous spirit of the day.

DAV 15   PIOUS  HAWAN —A  SACRED   PRELUDE TO  EXAMS
An auspicious  hawan  ceremony was organized in the campus of DAV Model School, Sector 15 A, Chandigarh. As a divine amalgamation of melodious chants  of  vedic  mantras , the principal and the staff members seeked  blessings of Almighty for the students appearing in forthcoming  10 th and 12th Board Exams. Principal, Mrs Anuja Sharma blessed the students and motivated them to work consistently with their arduous efforts.
The Hawan was performed with abundant religious zeal and fervor. It was attended by the Principal, students and staff with lot of reverence. Students felt   rejuvenated amidst religious ambience and resolved to do their best.
 
 
AASHIRWAD-Farewell 2024

The school today bid adieu to the students of Class 12. Most of them were in school since class Nursery. It was a nostalgic moment for teachers and students to part with each other. Innumerable dances on the popular numbers were presented by the students of eleventh class. The dances were very eye catching and enjoyed by the spectators. Melodious songs were sung by the students of eleventh class.
The entire venue echoed with serene and melodious songs. The dance performances were mesmerizing. Many students narrated their pleasant experiences of stay in school. The principal of the school Mrs.Anuja Sharma, distributed mementos as reminiscences to the outgoing children. She also whole heartedly blessed them for a beautiful life ahead. 
A modelling session was also held separately for boys and girls. The

In an endeavour to instill values of grit, determination and perseverance among the flag bearers of New India, Principal Mrs Anuja Sharma took the initiative for the students from Classes V1 to X1  to watch the  biopic ,” Main Atal Hoon “ showcasing the life and times of the former Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji .The students were mesmerised by watching the chronicles of various facets of his personality and the country’s achievements under his leadership.
They were enthused with Patriotic zeal and fervour.

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने सोमवार 29 जनवरी 2024 को 'परीक्षा पे चर्चा' कार्यक्रम के सातवें संस्करण के दौरान छात्र-छात्राओं, शिक्षकों और अभिभावकों से बातचीत की।
इस कार्यक्रम, का सीधा प्रसारण देखते हुए DAV 15 के छात्र, शिक्षक और अभिभावक ।प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने परीक्षाओं और स्कूली जीवन से संबंधित चिंताओं पर चर्चा की। प्रधानमंत्री उन्हें सलाह दी, जिससे वे अपने जीवन में चुनौतियों का सामना कर सकें।
 
REPUBLIC DAY

“Freedom In The Mind, Strength In The Words, Pureness In Our Blood, Pride In Our Souls, Zeal In Our Hearts, Let’s Salute Our India On Republic Day. May the tricolour always fly high and keep displaying the unity and diversity of our nation.”Republic Day was commemorated in the portals of the school , with lot of Nationalist and Patriotic fervour. Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma congratulated all present on this auspicious day and motivated them to enthuse the spirit of unity and harmony among themselves for promoting universal brotherhood.
 
The students participated in a plethora of patriotic activities  exhibiting  the importance of the day.Tri coloured badge making was accomplished artistically by the students of Classes Pre Nursery to KG.and Classes 1 and 2.Students of Classes 3 to 5 made tricolour cards showcasing the maxim of " United we stand".Students of Classes 6and 7 made tri colour cards paying their tribute to the Nation.
The event started with hoisting of the flag followed by the rendition of Vande Mataram and National Anthem. It was a spectacular view created by the release of balloons in the sky depicting different hues of orange, green and white exhibiting peace, prosperity and purity.The NCC cadets,NSS Volunteers and Girl Guide Scouts enthralled everyone with a wonderful and well co-ordinated parade.The school vicinity vibrated with the resonance of Slogans of Vande Matram, Patriotic songs, speeches and colourful dances showcasing the love and respect for our Nation.
 
The event ended with a vote of thanks.
 
 
 
“Sankalp “(Annual Function)
Commemorating 200 th Birth  celebrations  of Swami Dayanand Saraswati ji ,the staff and students of DAV MODEL SCHOOL SECTOR 15 A Chandigarh organised Sankalp , Annual function, The event showcased new waves, new directions and new innovative paths of rediscovering and recreating a wonderful world  
 
The students exhibited values , ethics and teachings of Swami  Dayanand Saraswati ji with lot of vitality and exuberance  in a short play on Swamijis life. The children captivated the audience with Bhangra, Rajasthani dance,Haryanvi dance , play on the life of Swamiji and importance of millets.
 
The message conveyed through this presentation was “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam “which means "The World Is One Family". 
The chief guest Mr. Justice Pritam Pal Ji, VIce President DAVCMC,New Delhi and the Guest of honour Dr Shvetta Arora ,Regional Officer ,CBSE, Chandigarh and all the present dignitaries were mesmerised by the performance of the students.
Vice Chairman of the school, Shri. R.C.Jeewan and the Manager Mrs. Madhu Bahl congratulated the staff and the students for their wonderful performance.
Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma felt elated at the successful accomplishment of the event and congratulated the staff and students for their unflinching efforts in presenting the event.
 
200 Kundliyan Maha Yajya


“Sankalp “200 th Birth Celebrations of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji and 97 th Swami Shradhanand Balidaan Diwas were celebrated in the portals of DAV15 with lot of religious sanctity amidst pious chants of holy mantras .
200 kundliyan maha Yajya was organised under the aegis of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha New Delhi , Arya Yuva Samaj DAV15 ,Chandigarh and under the able guidance of Honourable Padma Shri Dr Punam Suri Ji . Principal Mrs Anuja Sharma blessed all on this pious occasion and motivated the students to follow the path of righteousness and truth.

Acharaya Shiva Chaturvedi and Karan Arya from Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Sabha assisted 200 students in performing 200 Kundliyan Maha Yajya.President ,Mr Surinder Sharma and Professor H.S.Jaydev ,Joint Secretary of and residents of Residential Welfare Association , Sector 15,Chandigarh , participated in the Yajya with great enthusiasm.
The school premises resonated with shlokas and piety symbolic of Arya Samaj rituals and traditions.

 
GREEN DIWALI- SWACCHH DIWALI

Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated with lot of gaiety and fervour in DAV-15 by the students of Eco Sampada Club .The celebrations started with recitation of religious Bhajans creating the sanctity of the festival.

Students from Class Pre Nursery to ClassX11 presented a spectacular stage performance comprising of a medley of activities on the stage symbolising festive spirit of Diwali like skits, speeches and poems.The students also performed Nukkad Natak highlighting the need to celebrate Green Diwali .

The Principal, Mrs Anuja Sharma blessed the students
amidst the melodious echoing chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.
on this pious festival and motivated them to eat well, maintain safety measures and enjoy green and safe Diwali to ensure healthy environment.

The principal,students and teachers took an oath to promote green Diwali celebrations by avoiding harmful effects of crackers and poisonous chemicals emitted from the crackers.

The function ended on a happy and festive note.
 

Health and Fitness Day

 

It  is rightly said,” A sound mind lives in a sound body”, To commemorate this thought, Health and fitness day was observed in the school premises to promote good health, physical growth and emotional development with focus on different activities touching the domains of head,heart and hands.
 
 
Bhajan Prabhat - Oct 30, 2023

 

An auspicious Bhajan Prabhat , commemorating Nirvan Diwas of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji , Bhajan Prabhat was organised on 30 th October 2023 under the aegis of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha in the protals of DAV 15 chandigarh. As a divine amalgamation of values of Arya Samaj , melodious echoes of chants of Vedic Mantra’s, spreading happiness and contentment could be heard in the vicinity of the school.

The idea behind these celebrations has its strong foundation in age old traditions and values as laid down by Arya Samaj acknowledging and appreciating the contribution of Swami Dayanand Ji for the upliftment of education. The Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma, teachers and students of DAV-15 rejuvenated with the blessings of Arya Samaj created and evolved religious and pious ambience.

Shri H.R Gandhar, Vice President DAV CMC ,Principal , Sh R C Jeewan , Vice Chairman of the school, Principal Sofat Treasurer DAVCMC , Sh B.C.Josan, President , Arya Samaj , Principal Mrs Madhu Bahl, Manager of the school, Chairperson CCPCR , Shipra Bansal , ADGP Railways Punjab,Mrs Shashi Prabha, AGDP Mrs Vibhu Raj , Lokpal Punjab presided the pious Prabhat with their benign presence.

The Prabhat was also attended by LMC members, PTA Members, Arya Samajists, Local Community of Sector 15, Alumni and Principals from Tricity .

Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma felt elated to organize this pious Bhajan Prabhat showcasing the ideals of Arya Samaj.

Approximately 300 students and teachers from Classes 1 to XII participated in the chanting of Bhajans. An Essay Writing Competition was also organized in which students from DAV and other schools participated with lots of enthusiasm for which the prizes were awarded to deserving candidates.

“Today this morning seeked to be the torch bearer of society by melodious chants of bhajans promoting peace and universal brotherhood .”

 



International Peace Day-Oct 21, 2023

International peace day was observed by the students of Heritage club. They made posters and placards on the theme ,”Peace”.

Dussehra - Oct 20,2023
 
“May the triumph of good over evil in the epic of Ramayana inspire us to conquer our inner demons”.

Dussehra,a pious festival of Hindus was celebrated with lot of zeal and festive spirit in the portals of DAV15. Honourable Principal,Mrs Anuja Sharma congratulated all present and highlighted the need to curb the roots of evil at all levels in order to dispel darkness and illuminate the path of life.


A melange of activities—speeches, songs and dances showcased the festive enthusiasm of students from classes Nursery to 12th.

Students of classes 6,7 and 8 exhibited a musical depiction of Lord Ramas life and His victory over Ravana was presented with meticulous details in a Punjabi skit by students of Class 7.

Students showcased ten evils rampant in present social setup through different placards, emphasising the need to eradicate them for better and harmonious living.

The school echoed with rejoicing spirit of festivity culminating in Ramlila by artists from Ordinance Factory Sanskritik Manch Sector 29A, Chandigarh.

“Touch the sky with Glory.” The NCC  Volunteers and Girl Guide Scouts commemorated National Air Force Day in honour of Air Warriors by holding a special assembly that started with a patriotic song followed by an exhilerating skit illustrating the importance of Air Forces..They apprised all about courage and devotion of Air Force Personnel.

Grow,nourish and sustain food products and make the World a lot better.” World Food Day was celebrated on October 16. The students highlighted the significance of food and eating balanced diet.They also emphasised the need  to ensure that everybody on this earth has enough to eat.

“Mental Health  begins with you and me.Reach out and let others be your strength.” The students and teachers organised Manodarpan with the approach of NEP, 2020 towards promoting mental health and well-being in the school education.

A seven day  Special NSS camp was inaugurated  on the theme "Swaach Bharat Abhiyan and Fit India Campaign" under the guidance and leadership of the School Principal , Mrs . Anuja Sharma.She motivated and applauded the NSS volunteers for their wholehearted efforts to create awareness about cleanliness , fit and healthy lifestyle among people.The camp started with lamp lighting ceremony followed by chanting of Gayatri mantra and NSS gaan.NSS volunteers showcased  variuos activities like poetry recitation, patriotic songs,sharing of views on various social issues and  skill development workshop .They also organised Food Distribution Drive outside PGI wherein they distributed food among the needy and poor.This philanthropic activity nurtured them with values of sharing and caring.

 

 
 

 

 
 
Reading maketh a full man.
 
The World belongs to those who read. So Reading Challenge was  organized under CBSE Reading Mission Programme.for the academic session 2023-24.
It gave an exciting opportunity for students in classes Pre Nursery to Class 12 to enhance their reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. 
Principal Mrs Anuja Sharma motivated the students to read extensively for overall social and mental development.

 

Teej celebration at DAV 15 DPSE (NTT)

 

Students of DAV Model School, Sector 15 A, Chandigarh celebrated the festival of TEEJ with great enthusiasm and fervour. Students presented a colourful and energetic show of Giddha and Punjabi songs. They also applied mehndi to each other as part of traditional celebrations of Teej festival. Mrs. Anuja Sharma, Principal of the institute appreciated the efforts made by the students and staff to revive the traditions and culture of India

 
 
Hindi Diwas Celebrations

Hindi Day was celebrated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm in the vicinity of DAV MODEL SCHOOL SECTOR 15A CHANDIGARH .The Principal,Mrs Anuja Sharma congratulated all on this auspicious occasion and apprised all about the importance of Hindi language.
The day started with pious chants and Havana commemorating Hindi Diwas. A plethora of activities were organised like poetry competition, speeches , quiz .A pledge was taken by all to use Hindi language in different domains of knowledge. The day ended on a happy note.
 
World ozone day 
 
 
World ozone day celebration on 16th September. Support staff participated in the poster making competition. Expert talk on the importance of the ozone layer,it's benefits and human efforts by which ozone layer depletion can be prevented.A quiz was also organised on this occasion. Staff was appreciated and awarded  1. Best poster making  2. Computing on bicycle 3. Segregation of waste 4. Quiz
 
Maan Samaan Divas
 
Maan Samaan Divas –an event commemorating Grandparents Day was organised in the portals of DAV Model School, SECTOR 15 A, Chandigarh with lot of zeal and fervour. Grandparents of students of Pre Primary and Primary classes attended the event .Principal, Anuja Sharma welcomed all the grandparents and thanked them all from the core of her heart to make this event a grand success. She shared her gratitude to the grandparents for being the great support system to their grandchildren and providing them the roots of beliefs, values and their valuable assistance at every step of their life.
Children expressed their gratitude for the token of love exhibited by grand parents in their daily lives and the quality time send with them as the most cherished moments.      
A medical camp was organised for all the grandparents .
 
 
Antakshari, selfie corner-dances , songs  were also organised to pamper dear grandparents.

JANAMASHTMI CELEBRATIONS
 
The pious festival of Janamashtami was celebrated with lot of enthusiastic fervour and religious sanctity in the portals of DAV15. The Principal, Mrs Anuja Sharma was elated to see the vibrant tiny tots dressed up in colourful attires impersonating Lord Krishna ,Radha and Gopis. She congratulated all and blessed them for their arduous devotion to keep the festive spirit alive.

The students of PRE-PRIMARY Classes were enlightened by the teachers about the life history of Lord Krishnas childhood .Teachers had wonderfully displayed the life story of Lord Krishna in a colourful tableaux which was a colourful feast to the tiny tots and fascinated them.



A plethora of activities were conducted by the students .Impersonation of Lord Krishna as a mentor , Raslila , poetry recitation and dances associated with the festive celebration were the main attraction of the event

Independence DayCelebrations


In continuation with Independence Day,celebrations as a proud moment for everyone as we approach the 76 th Independence Day on August 15, 2023, the Principal,Anuja Sharma along with the staff and students celebrated freedom movement with many activities.
The Principal, Mrs Anuja Sharma highlighted that annual observance of the day has a great significance for commemorating our brave leaders and freedom fighters of history who won us the freedom we are enjoying today.

On this great occasion, DAV 15 came up with a lot of patriotic Independence Day celebrations and activities to help students learn more about the significance of the day.All class teachers conducted Independence Day activities on 11 th August 2023 in their classes during the Activity period.
Class Pre Nursery to KG Class Students made different shapes with origami sheets related to theme of Independence day.
CLASS 1 ( All sections )made the Indian Flag with pluses.Students of Classes 2 to 5 made wall hangings, posters,paintings and torans with colourful craft sheets. Students from Classes 6 to 10made tricoloured lanterns,paintings and cards.Students from Classes 11 and 12 wrote Self composed poem. ( An Ode To A soldier)
They also wrote an open letter to the soldiers paying their respect for their services to the Nation.
On 15 th August, the celebrations started with unfurling of Flag and release of balloons by the Principal, Mrs Anuja Sharma followed by March past performed by NSS Cadets,NCC volunteers and Girl Guide Scouts . Students from classes Pre. Nursery to Class 12 participated in various performing arts , mime, dances , songs , literary and cultural activities.The parents also collaborated in patriotic celebrations by reciting self composed poems and singing foot tapping songs.
The Principal,Mrs Anuja Sharma declared launch of Millets Year to be commemorated by all the students, teachers and parents. She blessed all the students to follow the path of righteousness and integrity . 

The school vicinity was dipped in tricolour hues and nationalist fervour.
  
 
 
 
World Tobacco Day

NSS volunteers of DAV 15 Chandigarh organised rally and signature campaign to create awareness about ill effects of Tobacco Consumption.
Principal Mrs Anuja Sharma highlighted the need to create awareness to stop tobacco consumption.An
Interactive session was done by her with the supporting staff of the school.Pledge was taken wherein the NSS volunteers vowed not to smoke and consume any tobacco products in their lives.
 
9th INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

An Annual feature ,International Yoga Day was celebrated in the premises of DAV MODEL SCHOOL SECTOR 15A , CHANDIGARH by the Principal, staff ,students ,NSS volunteers ,NCC Cadets and Girl guide Scouts with lot of zeal and enthusiasm .
The programme started with a welcome note by the Principal,Mrs Anuja Sharma . She highlighted the importance of yoga in life having a great impact on our heart, soul and mind.She pointed the need to do yoga everyday for a healthy and nurtured life.
The teachers and students under the guidance of Physical Education Teachers,Mrs Vikram,Mrs Harjeet , Mr Rajneesh and Yoga Instuctor of the school performed various yoga aasans like trikonasan bhujangaasan, tadaasan with energetic vigour.All of them did pranayam and undertook a pledge to do yoga regularly. All.rhe aasans were also performed and their benefits were discussed.

All clad in white and black chanted "OM" and breathed in peace and tranquillity. A light refreshment was given to all the participants.The event ended on a positive and refreshing note.

SECOND DAY OF THE CAMP
 
 
 
Day 2 of the camp showcased the cognitive skills  of students from Classes Pre Nursery to KG accentuating experiential learning with their visit to Doll Museum. Children saw a variety of dolls and exhibited their artistic splendour by colouring the dolls in the worksheets to ensure skill and competency based education , under the able guidance of their mentors.Principal Mrs Anuja Sharma highlighted the importance of competency based skills in the life of students.
 
Students from Class 1 and 2 were engaged in extempore, honing their language development with emphasis on dramatics,diction and expression.
Class 5Students were trained in Yoga and fitness exercises. A talk was organised on general health and hygiene , stressing the importance of eating a millet diet bonanza.
 
Students from Classes 6 to 10 indulged in creative and expressive art that nurtured teamwork,creativity and reflection along with management of resources.
They made mosaic paintings,block printing thereby enhancing their artistic skills.Class 6 Student’s Visit to Botanical garden was a step ahead to further experiential learning .
The students of Class 11 and 12 gained valuable cognitive knowledge by listening to an expert talk about career counselling .
Nikhaar Ashtam gave a creative impetus to children by engaging them in experiential learning activities, competency based education and application of innovative ideas to ensure joyful learning experiences with various methodologies and strategies.
 
 
 

Star Achievers Ceremony

Star Achievers Ceremony was organised in the portals of DAV15 to felicitate the meritorious students of Class 10 and 12 . These students scored commendable marks above 90% in aggregate in CBSE Board Examination.
Principal Mrs Anuja Sharma and Vice Chairman Sir, Sh R.C.Jeewan applauded the students for their great success and motivated them to always achieve and excel.
The students received mementoes and certificates. The event ended on a jubilant mood.

INAUGURATION AND FIRST DAY OF THE CAMP

NIKHAR ASHTAM , a six day Competency based Skill enhancement Summer Camp, a yearly annual feature, eighth of its kind to hone the 21 st century skills including creative and critical potentialities of the young students was inaugurated by Mrs Anuja Sharma, Principal, DAV MODEL SCHOOL, SECTOR 15 A,CHANDIGARH. She highlighted the importance of the camp based on the development of Iearning domains

The camp started with a spectacular inauguration amidst colourful balloons, joyful songs and vibrant students commemorating the inauguration of Nikhaar Ashtam.A musical feast of a self composed song about various arenas of learning to be imparted to students in the camp echoed in the vicinity of the school .

All the staff members and students from classes Pre Nursery to Class 12 enthusiastically participated in the camp in various dance steps and student centric activities .The duration of the camp was 3 hours from 8:30am to 11:30am chiseling cognitive, affective and psycho motor domains of students.

Day 1 of the camp centered around the cognitive skills of students from Classes Pre Nursery to Class 3 accomplishing activities with building blocks to ensure skill and competency based education with logical reasoning , mental exercises , analysis and aptitude books , under the able guidance of their mentors.

SUFI NIGHT By DELPHIC COUNCIL CHD AND AAO DAV-15

Delphic Council Chandigarh and AAO DAV-15 organised SUFI NIGHT as a part of DAV United Activity in memory of Shri Deepak Anand Ji, an old student of the school.
The Principal, Mrs Anuja Sharma paid tribute to Shri Deepak Anand Ji , a noble and a pious soul with a live painting made by Pranjal Goel, 12 Arts student and a member of Delphic Club of the school.
The painting was duly signed by all present.The painting was presented to the family members of Shri Deepak Anand Ji by Mrs Anuja Sharma, President, Delphic Council, Chandigarh and other Delphic members , Mrs Samira Koser( Vice President)Mrs Rajni Chatwal( General Secretary) from Delphic Council Chandigarh and Mr Samir Rampal, Mr Amit from Delphic Council Punjab.
AAO DAV 15 .President Mrs Neelam Dhawan, AAO DAV 15 Vice President Mrs Shelly Taneja and Mr Rajeev Sharma, Joint Secretary AAO DAV 15 and all esteemed members of AAO DAV 15 paid homage to the bereaved soul and fondly remembered Shri Deepak Anand Ji.
The event started with ceremonial prayer song and lamp lighting followed by a semi classical dance by students of Delphic Club of the school. This was followed by Sufi songs by eminent Sufi singers.A sapling was given to all present as a fond remembrance of the departed spul. The evening ended on a note of nostalgia and memories.

 

LABOUR. DAY

Labour Day was commemorated by the NSS volunteers, teachers and students of DAV Model School , Sector 15 A, Chandigarh to offer thanksgiving to the supporting staff for their support and contribution in the school.

Principal, Mrs Anuja Sharma appreciated their whole hearted efforts and motivated them to continue their services with honesty and integrity. She highlighted the importance of persistent endeavours in the overall success of any task undertaken.

A special assembly was conducted by NSS volunteers. They apprised the students about the importance of supporting staff in the overall functioning of school through the arena of skits, poems, speeches.

The event ended on a happy note with a thanksgiving song expressing gratitude towards the supporting staff of the school.

 

 
 

 

EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS

April 24, 2023


Earth Day was celebrated by the Principal, Staff and students of DAV Model School Sector 15 A Chandigarh with great enthusiasm. A plethora of activities were organised by the Eco Club on the theme,”Environmental Impact on Human Behaviour”.

The Principal, Mrs Anuja Sharma highlighted the need to save the mother earth by saving the natural resources. The Principal, staff and students took pledge to heal mother earth by planting more trees,saving water,electricity and all the natural resources to promote sustainable development .

Fancy dress competition based on the theme ,Mother Earth was conducted in Classes Pre Nursery till 2nd. Students from classes 3rd till 5th in drawing competition on the theme,"I love my planet earth".Students from Class 6,7and 8 wrote inspirational slogans on the topic,"Our Earth,Our Future,"Class 9 and 10 Students made colourful posters exhibiting the idea to " Heal the earth,heal our planet".Class 11 and 12 Students penned down their thoughts in paragraph writing on the topic "Richer the diversity,more the depletion".

A special assembly was conducted by Sampada Eco Club in which the students showcased their love for Mother Earth by their arduous participation in prayer dance, speeches, poems and street play.
Awareness speeches, poems,slogans ,quiz and pledge to save earth were undertaken up by NSS Volunteers and Eco club students to save the planet Earth.
The event ended on a happy note.

 

 

 

 

World Food Day - Oct 17, 2023

 
Grow,nourish and sustain food products and make the World a lot better.” World Food Day was celebrated on October 16. The students highlighted the significance of food and eating balanced diet.They also emphasised the need  to ensure that everybody on this earth has enough to eat.
 
Air Force Day - Oct 18, 2023
 
“Touch the sky with Glory.” The NCC  Volunteers and Girl Guide Scouts commemorated National Air Force Day in honour of Air Warriors by holding a special assembly that started with a patriotic song followed by an exhilerating skit illustrating the importance of Air Forces..They apprised all about courage and devotion of Air Force Personnel.
