                                                                                   Shining Stars of DAV -15

·        Shreya of Xlth Non Medical bagged 1st prize in Gazal Competition held at New Public School, Sector-18, Chandigarh.

·        It was a commendable achievement for the Music Teacher Mrs. Jyoti Mahajan who composed the Gazal herself.

·        Shreya achieved another milestone in Yaadgarein Rafi Competition held at S.D. College,Chandigarh where she was awarded 1st Prize.

·        Vikhyat of 11th Arts was awarded 2nd Prize in Thumri at Bhavan Vidyalya , Panchkula.

·         Vikhyat also achieved 3rd Prize in Yaadgarien Rafi Competition held at S.D. College,   Chandigarh. 

   

 

Talent Hunt 2016                                                                

Talent Hunt an annual event of the school was organised in DAV-15,Chd. on 3rd and 4th August 2016. Every year it provides a platform for spotting the budding artists of Class-11th .  The students showcased their varied talents and skills. 

It was a great moment to hear the views of enthusiastic orators. Ashwariya stood first, Bhavna Stood second and Grace stood third in declamation and poetry recitation.

Children exhibited a lot of vigour and vitality in different dances and songs. Vikhyat stood first , Khushal stood second and Navneeta stood third in solo singing. Sonal stood first , Wali stood second and Safal stood third in solo dance. 

The Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma congratulated the children for their whole hearted participation and enthusiasm depicted in different activities. 

                                                                                                    QBIZ

Qbiz organised a business quiz in D.A.V. Model School, Sector-15 A,Chandigarh. All the students of Class-11th and 12th participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Principal, Mrs. Anuja Sharma reinforced the students to remain updated with the topics and information related to general awareness to excel in their life.

Harsh Chopra of Class-12th bagged 1st position in the quiz. The 2nd position was awarded to Robin Singh of Class-11th and 3rd position to Deshbandhu of Class-11th.

It was an enriching experience for all present. 

The Ripples

 “The Ripples” an Inter School Fest was organised on 06-08-2016 in the portals of DAV-15 to commemorate the glorious golden jubilee celebrations in order to hone the creative potentialities  of the students. The Chief guest of the fest  was honourable Mrs. Vinay R. Sood, District Education Officer , U.T. Administration, Chd. 131 participants from 20 schools of tricity and Ambala participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.

The function started with inaugural ceremony by Renowned Industrialist  Mr. Vinod Kapoor. The Principal Mrs. Anuja Sharma congratulated the participants and motivated them to excel for holistic development.  

There were four events in all :

1. Melodious moments (Bhajan) : 

 First                   -     Dhruv(Govt. Model Senior Secondary School,37 B, Chd.)

Second               -    Liza Khurana(Bhavan Vidalaya , Panchkula)

Third                  -    Vishal (MRA Senior Sec. School, 27 B,Chd.)

Consolation      -   M. Shradha(Carmel Convent, 9B,Chd.)

2. Master Chef (Cooking) :              

First                   -   Kanu Priya and Ritika Arora(DAV Sr. Sec. School, Surajpur)

Second             -   Mehak and Devika(Sacred Heart, Chd.)

Third                 -   Deepak Jain and Abhishek(St. Johns High School,Chd.)

3. Creative Hands(Mural Painting)   

First              -   Vashita and Adribha(Carmel Convent, Chd.)

Second          - Palak and Oshia Garg(Chaman Vatika,Ambala)

Third             - Anureet and Kalpna(DAV Sr. Secondary School, Sector-8, Panchkula)

4. Thinking Minds Quiz

 First             -   Ram Mohan and Jatin (Army Public School, Ambala)

Second        -  Mayank and Vipul(KBDAV ,Chd.)

Third           -  Satvik and Dkash (The Gurukul, Sec-20, Panchkula)

The winners were awarded certificates, mementoes and Tulsi saplings for their commendable performance by the

District Education Officer- Mrs. Vinay Sood and Principal- Mrs. Anuja Sharma. The event ended with a vote of Thanks followed by National Anthem.
